Sunday Is My Day

Happy Sunday Loves! Let me start by saying that I hope you all are having a wonderful Sunday.

We are all so busy throughout the week, that time tends to speed by. And before we know it, it’s Monday. I don’t know about you, but I’m always asking myself, “where did the weekend go?” And I’m still exhausted.

I decided to change that. I need a day of rest. And that day is Sunday. Sundays have become my day to reflect. I rest on Sundays. I decompress, I meditate. I do cook dinner for my family (Saturdays are my no-cook days), but other than that, it’s my day.

My family knows this is my day. It took a minute, but we all know how that goes. My sons are now 8 & 10. Saturdays have become “their” day. Between soccer, birthday parties, sleepovers, etc., I’ve basically given up thinking that this day can be for me. So, yep, Sundays it is.

We all need to a day like this. I know it’s hard to just have a day to yourself. What about that load of laundry in the dryer? You should finally complete that project you started if you have free time, right? Having a day to yourself makes you feel “lazy” doesnt it? It shouldn’t. If you don’t have a day to just dedicate time for self-care and self-love, then how can you mentally survive the week?

So stop what you are doing right now And pick your day. It doesn’t have to be Sundays. Maybe you prefer your day to be a Tuesday. Or a Saturday. The day doesn’t matter. Just pick a day to love yourself. Yes, be a little selfish mama.

You‘ll thank me for it later 💋
